Welcome to Bible for
Bible Study Chat Room
Tuesdays at 9pm EST - 10pm
Our Bible Study Group is associated
with First Presbyterian Church of Sanford FL. Originally
we met in person as a group at Ralph's home.
From this Bible Study, we merged
into a Senior Bible Study at Friendly
Seniors Chat, managed by Ralph. It is here that we have met every
week, since 2008. We are thankful that Ralph has shared his internet expertise
in serving God.
This is a non-denominational
Bible Study Group.
Our focus and intent
with Bible for Dummies is to reach out to the new Christian. No one should
feel intimidated when beginning to study the word of God.
We are all learning – together.
Our Christian based, on-line group is a mixture of people from various
religions such as Catholic, Jewish, and Presbyterian.
We are a global Bible study with participants from various places. This
on-line chat is a safe place to share what God means to each of us as we
study together from the Bible each week. Continuing prayer for each
other has brought amazing results.
I pray for you, and that you
join us next Tuesday night. Become a part of this group and witness
the life-changing miracles we have seen!

This group was started with a
new member to our church, Yuka. She was a brand new Christian and
wanted to learn from the beginning. We looked at the Bible as a book
mentioning that the Old Testament was first and the New Testament came
with the birth of Jesus. She wanted to learn about Jesus so we started
with Mathew, the first book of the New Testament. She was a new Christian
unlike many other church members who were brought up in the church, so
we created a group just for her and others like her! The group was
named “Bible for Dummies”. No materials were available that we knew
of, we just thought it was a catchy title like the other books – DOS for
dummies, etc. etc. Ralph agreed to let us use his house to meet on
Monday nights and our group was born. We had the Bible and that was
all the guideline we needed. You don’t have to know anything to join
our group! We’re all learning together!
We studied the life of Jesus
and saw how God planned it all out from the beginning. We studied Jesus’
birth, teachings, death on the cross, and resurrection from the dead. He
died for our sins, and if we believe in him we will have everlasting life.
Actually, our greatest gift came at Christmas with Jesus coming into the
world as our Savior.
Yuka got married and moved far
away and we had hoped she would join us on line for Bible study but she
hasn't. Guess she got involved with another church in the community
she moved to.
Since Ralph is semi-retired and
is in Georgia a lot, it was finally decided to discontinue the Monday night
group and just do an online Bible study. Even when he is in Georgia,
Ralph can attend the on line Bible study.
This year we started from the beginning and will continue
in 100 lessons. These 100 lessons will cover the entire Bible.
Lesson #1 was the first week in January 2011. We will continue one
lesson each week. Please try to read the scripture before Bible study.
